Work Hours:             8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and as required to complete assigned tasks.

Summary:

Converts data from project specifications and statements of problems and procedures to create or modify computer programs by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with teams to analyze client requirements and identify efficient solutions
  • Work with Project Manager, Team Lead, and clients to obtain and analyze project specifications and flow charts.
  • Confer with team leader or others concerned with program to resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls.
  • Perform coding as directed by the project lead
  • Conduct code testing as directed by the project lead
  • Document code and procedures
  • Assist senior web designer in creating web designs and graphic elements
  • Other duties as assigned

QualificationsExperience, Education and Licensure: 

Required:

 

  • Enrolled in a 4 year degree
  • Fundamental understanding of modern programming environments

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Some programming experience that is demonstrable with a sample
  • Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Possess good written and verbal communications skills
  • Possess sufficient knowledge of proper English grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation rules to identify errors and make corrections as errors
  • Self-motivated individual who enjoys challenges and learning new skills and technologies
  • Able to creatively solve problems and find solutions
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to provide accurate estimates and meet deadlines
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
