Job Duties & Functions:

The Systems Engineer’s primary duty is to design and implement mission-critical systems directly related to the Bank’s overall business operations, including but is not limited to using advanced systems analysis techniques and procedures, negotiating with vendors, consulting with end-users to determine system functional specifications, and the design, development, implementation, documentation, testing, analysis, reporting, securing and oversight of mission-critical enterprise systems. This position frequently liaises with others to design technology solutions to address business challenges.  This position is expected to formulate, implement, and enforce technology-related policies that affect the security and integrity of Bank data.  This position will devise, set timelines for, and execute major technology-related projects that affect the Bank’s business operations.  This position will frequently triage, investigate, and resolve significant technology matters on behalf of the Bank’s management, and as such will need to exercise great discretion and confidentiality.  This position will frequently advise and provide expert counsel on technology matters to the Bank’s employees, management, and customers.


Job Qualifications:

+       Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science related field from an accredited institution of higher learning. Cisco Certified Network Professional certification and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification desired. Education can be substituted with four years commensurate experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise information technology infrastructure.

+       Minimum of three years designing, implementing and supporting enterprise information technology infrastructure.

+       Extremely high levels of analytical problem-solving and organizational skills are a must for this position.

+       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+       Capable of independently resolving frequent customer issues and complaints.

+       Expert knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, virtualization infrastructure, industry standard database and messaging systems, storage systems, Cisco network infrastructure, enterprise security practices, software development and implementation, backup and replication technology, and telecommunications.

+       Visual, speaking and auditory abilities required.

+       Ability to crawl under desks, lift computers and related equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, and type for extended periods of time required.

+       Must be available for on-call and emergency response twenty-four hours a day.
